Ingredients
- 2/3 cup of unsweetened gluten-free BBQ sauce
- 3 cloves of crushed garlic
- 1 tsp of minced ginger root
- 3 tbsp of coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp of sesame seeds (for serving)
- 227g of tempeh
- 1 tbsp of avocado oil
- ½ tbsp of keto-friendly maple syrup
Instructions
- 1. Cut the tempeh into ½-inch cubes.
- 2. Prepare the sauce by combining all the ingredients. Mix the garlic, ginger, coconut aminos, BBQ sauce, and maple syrup in a bowl.
- 3. Pour a tbsp of avocado oil into a pan (large skillet) and put it on medium heat.
- 4. Add the tempeh cubes to the hot pan and leave it to cook. Flip or turn them regularly until all the sides are well cooked and crispy.
- 5. Add the sauce, and cook briefly until all the sides of the tempeh are well coated.
- 6. Remove from heat.
- 7. Sprinkle the stir-fried tempeh with sesame seeds and serve the dish.
